Commisioned by the Galicia Symphony Orchestra for the Barrie Foundation's 40th Anniversary, the concerto was premiered by Cristina Pato and conductor J.M. Perez Sierra on November 16

CARLOS KALMAR PREMIERES LETHE  

Oregon Symphony Orchestra conductor Carlos Kalmar premiered Lethe with the OSG to a sold-out Opera House on November 2. On the program also Mahler and Stravinsky

The MONUMENT PIANO TRIO played the Guernica Trio in Baltimore and Washington D.C. on September 23 and October 2 and 3. These concerts were co-sponsored by Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland College Park, and the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C.

As part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations, The BARRIE DE LA MAZA FOUNDATION presented a selection of Octavio's chamber music in Coruña and Vigo, November 7, 8, 21 and 22. The composer collaborated with soloists Roberto Alonso, David Garrido, Cristina Gestido, and Borja Quintas, and with visual artists Anton Cabaleiro and Andres Rosende, and body-movement artist Alfonso Rivera
